5. Signature

Your physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.

4. Counter-Notification Process

If You Believe Content Was Removed in Error

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us.

Required Information

  • Identification of the material that was removed or disabled
  • Your full name, address, and telephone number
  • Statement of good faith belief that material was removed by mistake
  • Consent to jurisdiction of federal court in your district
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Important Warning

Filing a false counter-notification may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

We will forward your counter-notification to the original complainant, who may file a lawsuit against you.

Counter-Notification Timeline

  • We will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours
  • Forward counter-notification to original complainant within 10 business days
  • Restore content within 10-14 business days unless complainant files lawsuit
  • If lawsuit is filed, content remains disabled pending resolution
